Hey guys – we’ve received plenty of feedback this past month so we’re announcing a bunch of changes/additions effective with this new wipe. Clarifications (in KOS/PVP rules) Players can defend the body/sleeper/vehicle of yourself or a friend. This only counts if you catch someone IN THE ACT of looting. You cannot attack if it is after the looting has happened or if you suspect the person without evidence. (If you do the looting, don’t brag about it) Comment: This was already in effect, but we added vehicles to the wording. (in General Rules) No code raiding or changing codes; No insiding a clan, when you leave a group, you can only take what you farmed. Never use a code that you find. Comment: Added “Never use a code that you find”. We still have issues with this so hopefully this shuts down any question of what is code raiding. Introducing Conquest Claims. These are specially marked locations on the map that are KOS, but they have special raiding rules. Players who control these claims earn a currency they can use to buy items/resources. Land Claiming a Conquest Claim Standard land claiming rules apply. You can only claim one per 48 hours (on a separate timer from claims outside of Conquest).Conquest Claims do not need to be touching a clan’s other claims. Players can claim Conquest Claims and these don’t count towards your normal claim count. For CS claims, TC must be accessible via door or hatch. Conquest Claim Rewards Each Conquest Claim generates 1 glue every 24 hours in the TC room of the controlling structure. An NPC will spawn in your base that can be killed and he drops the glue.Glue can be used to purchase resources or bleach (player feedback is welcome on the value of the currency). Welcome to the Rust Empires CONQUEST event! This will be a one-week event where clans war to control the island. The island is split into two, clans can choose to live down south in the safe area or up north in the Warzone (or both!). THE SAFEZONE Down South, standard server rules apply. Clans in the South can still go to war, but follow the normal procedure. THE WARZONE Clans in the Warzone pick their first claim as their HQ. Clans can claim up to 5 hex claims in the Warzone per day. Claims must be connected. If a claim gets separated from the HQ via attacks, it must be reconnected before a clan can expand from that claim. Clans can have land in the Warzone and down South, they don’t need to be connected (as if they are two separate maps). Clans can gain an additional 2 claims per day via conquest (this number will increase throughout the week to speed up the war). What is THE PURGE? Since all items and progress are removed when the server wipes, Rust Empires hosts the purge once per wipe where players are encouraged to use up all of the items they have acquired throughout the month. Instead of letting everything go to waste, all KOS and raiding rules are lifted and players can roam around the map using up all of the ammo, explosives, and medical supplies. See that really nice base? It might be fun to use up your C4 and watch it collapse. Someone get on your nerves all month? Grab your gear and go show them how you really feel. Everything will be gone the next day, so have fun and don’t take anything too personally.  Didn’t have time to farm any gear or weapons? That’s okay. We provide a /kit purge that includes some starter weapons, armor, and medical supplies.
