Survey Responses

Thanks to everyone who took the survey this month. As always, we got a ton of good feedback from you guys which helps us decide how to move forward. We posted the results from the survey but we also like to respond to some of the written feedback from the community. What is your least favorite part of Rust Empires? An abundance of toxic regulars making the chat hostile Make sure to report toxic people. Video recordings of voice conversations and screenshots of text conversations work best. Don’t forget we have an anonymous report form in discord. Apparently inconsistent or lacking of “punishment severity in line with the crime“ Players don’t have access to the staff log of all player issues, everything is logged and we have a document that details each situation. So sometimes you will see 2 people commit the same crime with different punishments. Player 1 could be on strike 4, player 2 could be getting their first strike. Of course, as a...

Welcome to Bonus Age 21.5

Hey guys – since it’s a 5 week month, we have an extra week. Instead of doing 2 one-week events, we’ve decided to have a 2 week bonus age that will have a few events within it. To get everyone involved, we’re going to have a mix of PVP and PVE based events. Creative Contest Round 4 Something we’ve done a few times in the past, we will be hosting a series of creative contests. This will include skin creating, RP building, arena building, and more. We will be setting up a few channels that will detail each contest objective. The Warzone returns! Longtime players will remember the warzone, it has returned and is once again claimable. The Warzone are claimable pvp zones. Unlike our normal claims, there is no limit to how many of these groups can capture. At the end of the wipe, we will issue prizes based on how many Warzone claims each group is holding Warzone rules. Warzone claim does not need to be touching your normal claims (but warzone claims do...

THE LURE OF FORTUNE

WESTERN EVENT WEEK The forgotten isles in the realm of Rust Empires were abandoned for many years. Nuclear fallout from ancient clans had transformed the isles into an uninhabitable wasteland, and tales of the prosperity among those previous dwellers fell into whispers and crumbling texts. Yet, a few intrepid explorers set a course for the isles after unearthing a series of scatter maps and tributes to the land. Upon arrival, the explorers deemed the lands a worthwhile venture once more. Returning with riches to the main islanders of Rust Empires, a fever was sparked among the people. Rumor has it that the isles of Rust Empires are bountiful in rich veins of metal. The lure of fortune and fame has brought miners, builders, and more to the isles. Grab a horse and explore the mainland for riches and conquest. Build a city and encourage your people to aid your clan in wealth and prosperity. Create a clan to further your pursuits in the metal frags rush.

Rule Changes for July 2019

Hey Guys. Sorry for the delay, this month has been crazy. Steam sale has results in an influx of players and the team has been busy managing all the fun that comes with a wave of new players. For this month, the rule update includes some of the things we talked about in the recent War Meeting. This is a step in the right direction, let us know your feedback as everyone gets to experience these new rules so we can continue to refine the rules. Changes From war rules: For war, KOS begins once the war has been declared. The claims of the clans at war become KOS. Anyone who is not the direct clans or allies that are participating in the war needs to leave these zones. Non involved parties may not assist either team. For months, we noticed players keep entering the war zone to watch the war. We don’t think this is fair to people involved in war. Now the claims of everyone become KOS. People who aren’t actively in the war need to leave and cannot us this as an excuse...

Return to the Wasteland…

The goal of this week is to accrue the most Crude Oil. While players can roam the road and landmarks for oil, we have set up a few pumpjacks for you to capture and try to farm as much crude oil as possible. Once you earn some oil, head to Questy and buy some awesome items in preparation for the final assault (purge day). TEAMS Each team is given a free car once they claim land. Once you have claimed land, ask for an admin in-game to get you a car. RULES KOS is only in marked red zones.Gather as much Crude Oil as possible.Inside NML are compounds with Pumpjacks to have a consistent way to get Crude Oil.No stealing car keys from other teams, 1 car per team. Our normal rules still apply.. REWARDS Once you have farmed some crude oil, take a ride to South Frontier and head to the Quest Vendor. Players can cash in crude oil for bleach. Bleach can be used to purchase many weapons as well as vehicles. That includes the Chinook.
